You may hear the word "MESH" added to the offer of 'Whole Home WIFI'. a Meshed network does indeed help improve staying connected to the WIFI across your property, however, if these mesh devices are wirelessly linked, then there is a loss of speed between the master WIFI repeater that's connected to your router and the remote mesh devices - you see a drop in your speed even though you have full WIFI signal on your device and things start to loose connectivity or buffer.

There is a difference between having full WIFI signal and full WIFI speed. If your booster or extender is one or two brick walls away from your router, you could see a 60-80% loss in signal. If you have 100Mbps Broadband, your booster could only be providing 20Mbps so, if you have a big TV connected to that device streaming 4K Netflix, you'll be using all the 20Mbps on one device, any other devices connected to that booster will then be fighting to get their share of the flow.... That's when you see the 'ring of death' buffer!!

By installing a fully hard wired system across your property, you will have the full speed of your broadband connection at every Access Point, meaning that all devices have the ability to utilise the full speed of the Broadband service you pay for. Your 100Mbps network is achievable at each access point. Yes, there are still drops in the speed as you move away from the access point, but you're starting a 100Mbps, not 20Mbps.
